Sony KDL37EX503 Review
The kdl37EX503 replacing my old 50 Hz (!) Tube. I've been waiting some time with the purchase of a flat-screen TVs, because I only wanted to get one, if there are some with built-in DVB-S receiver at a fair price. By 37EX503 Sony has managed a real good throw, I'm extremely satisfied.
Also a big kudos to Amazon for fast delivery. The KDL37EX503 Sony kdl37ex503 lcd tv
has no excessive packaging, so that he could still be delivered as normal DHL package (was at least in my case) and no agent was needed, with the first one would have to make an appointment.
Installation is super easy. Base plate with the hinge bolt, then with the joint display. In total there are 8 screws.
The included printed manual is more like a quick start pamphlet. Actually, you do not need them. The initial installation is self explanatory and does anyway in a few minutes. If we then find out more, they will just have reinschauen in the electronic guide, which you can access via a button on the remote. This feature is called Sony "iManual.
Speaking of remote control: I think the FB, in contrast to many users of the 37EX503 very good. It is neither too small nor too large, the keys have good tactile feedback and are useful arranged. The on / off button is way on the back! Illuminated keys do not exist, but that can not be expected in the price range too. Anyone who wants more, who buys eh ne Logitech Universal FB or the like.
Was important to me especially as I have said DVB-S. With the initial installation and all were found equal relevance to me and appropriate channels arranged.
The picture is in my opinion, excellent. Firstly, my 37EX503 get a good panel has installed without error and without any noticeable pixels Clouding the panels in the new EX and HX series but will be generally much better than the previous Sony TVs. Even illumination problems are (almost not), although Sony still relies on the EX503 CCFL backlight (fluorescent tubes). Black level is excellent. Negative is the relatively small viewing angle. Second, the Bravia Engine makes 3 good services. The image is sharp, has rich colors and with Motion Flow - Sony's 100 Hz technology - a smooth transition between frames. SD material is excellent geupscalet "grossed up (to HD resolution or interpolated). Watch Blu-rays with the PlayStation 3 is a dream. With BRAVIA Sync (also accessible through the RA) can be certain Sony devices (eg TV + PS3 by the way) "Sync" and set, for example, both devices with one-touch each other, the media play or shut down, and more. DVB-T and DVB-C I do not need and can not therefore be assessed as well. Analog image unfortunately remains untested.
Since I lack unfortunately still the best system, the speakers of the TV but I think are already very good - and loud enough for many situations by the sound quality here is sufficient.
USB I also do not need, do I stream from the home network to the TV via PS3 Media Server and DVBViewer server working after a certain Bastelarbeitet like to be. Allegedly, the TV with gigabit networks will not tolerate, I could not confirm this.
Well I like the design of the TVs. Actually, I had to buy only from the predecessor (40W5800), but when these are no longer there, I've made my decision for the EX503. Happily, for the next great technology, but also the design of my opinion, is beautiful.
Negative on kdl37EX503 I find the relatively long switch. At least mediocrity is to switch between different channels.
So I can only recommend the kdl37ex503
