Sony KDL40EX401 Review

Long time I have dealt with the issue of flat screen televisions, there were always somewhere some hooks and disadvantages. Software problems, Clouding, buzzing, humming, or simply a price which was beyond my financial flexibility. Now I've ended up at the Sony, even though he has a few cost more than I like actually was. For Sony said the relatively cheap price, and above all in my opinion good value for money. I also wanted a TV that offers a good black level and a good-24P playback, has an integrated digital cable tuner and not so ugly or too cheap looking. Well, me and Sony as a brand has also been quite fond of, until now I have a variety of Sony devices and never let down.

I must say, the price / performance ratio is of the KDL40EX401 is unbeatable. The picture is bright and sharp, ghosting during fast movements are not noticed. And, very good for a "conventional" LCD TV: Black is really black, believe it or not. The edge sharpness is actually compared to 100Hz devices from something very dark and slightly blurred details. The installation and basic setting is simple, the menus are no mystery. The fact that the foot is not rotated and tilted, I find the only real drawback, but the price is well calculated quite scarce. About the sound I can not say anything, because the TV is running on the system. Communication with other devices via HDMI, but also with older equipment (VCR works) easily, Dolby Digital is output via the optical digital output. A USB stick can play a slide show photos and MPEG movies, again with a simple menu system, very short charging time and previews. My conclusion: Buy Recommendation!
